Usability and User Experience evaluation at the Cité de l'Espace

on .

On the weekend of October the 27th & 28th 2012, an evaluation of the CHESS beta system was held with family visitors at the Cité de l'Espace. 8 families comprised of children (ranging from 4 to 13 years old) and their parents had the opportunity to experience the story of their choice ("The secret diary of Philippe Perrin" and/or "Become a reporter in the year 5034 AD!") using the tablets provided to them.

Members of the CHESS consortium observed the families as they listened to the stories and interacted with the visual and Augmented Reality content, and conducted post-experience interviews. The data collected is currently being transcribed and analysed, and will be used to improve various interface and interaction design issues as well as to make decisions about the experiences to follow.
